Hariri Says No Diplomatic Relations With Israel

Lebanon’s newly elected leader did not waste any time, announcing on Tuesday that he has no intentions to enter into dialogue with Israel. Speaking to CNN following his impressive victory in the nation’s elections, the leader of the moderates stated that if his is tapped to be the next prime minister, he will not enter into talks with Israel.

He added that if regional peace efforts based on the Arab peace plan do advance, he would consider signing a peace agreement with Israel, but only if such an agreement served Lebanon’s interests, adding his country would be the last of the Arab nations to sign.
