Avreich Injured by Winter Storm in Bnei Brak – Winter’s First Fatality in Pardes Chana


20151025075845A 46-year-old avreich who was on his way to give a shiur, was injured as a result of a tree collapsing on Radzmin Street in Bnei Brak on Sunday morning 12 Cheshvan. Reports of trees and downed electric lines are coming in from many areas as a result of heavy winds accompanying the first winter storm.

Officials from Ichud Hatzalah in Bnei Brak report the avreich was transported to Tel Hashomer Hospital while a piece of the tree is still embedded in his neck.

MDA reports that a 20-year-old man was critically injured when a wall collapsed from the winds in Pardes Chana during the morning hours. He was transported to Hillel Yafeh Hospital while CPR and advanced life support were performed but he was pronounced dead in the emergency room upon arrival.
