Most New Yorkers may approve of Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s job performance – but when it comes to keeping him around for another four years, a majority say it’s time for someone else.
Those findings are according to an exclusive poll conducted by NY1, the New York Times, and Cornell University.
The poll shows that while 60 percent of New Yorkers approve of Bloomberg’s job performance, 55 percent say the want “someone else” in City Hall next year.
The poll also shows that an overwhelming number of New Yorkers are unfamiliar with Bloomberg’s top rival, Democrat Bill Thompson.
The poll surveyed 683 adults throughout New York City with a margin of sampling error of +/-4 percentage points.

Well he kicked us all in the face! (or more like the hand) We voted and he changes it, not for others, but for himself. I can’t say here what I think of him. Too bad he is not going to run as an Independent. In the end we’ll have to vote for him since the democrat would be a lot worse. On second thought, maybe a democrat who calls himself a democrat is better then a democrat who tries fooling you and calls himself a republican.
Even Obama has been able to see through Bloomy. In said this in his 100 days in office speech: “In the next hundred days, I will meet with a leader who rules over millions with an iron fist, who owns the airwaves and uses his power to crush all who would challenge his authority at the ballot box. It’s good to see you, Mayor Bloomberg.”
and another back from October (while speeking in NYC): “The mayor of this great city, Michael Bloomberg, is here. The mayor recently announced some news — made some news by announcing he’s going to be rewriting the rules and running for a third term, which caused Bill Clinton to say, you can do that?”

They want “someone else”,do they? Who says? Some poll administered by left-wing liberal hacks, not particularly well-known for media objectivity?? The poll results reeks, big time.
While I’ve got to admit the Mayor’s riding rough shot on the term-limit issue was quite the strong-armed approach, the relatively wimpy,lame reaction in protest demonstrates the electorate’s blessing for a very much deserved third term on his behalf,demonstrating quite emphatically how overwhelming undemocratic term-limits really are.
Term-limits work very well when preventing officials who would otherwise not merit re-election from staying in office based only on politics, being politically-connected, but very much work against democratic process when an otherwise extraordinarily capable, deserved candidate such as the case with Mayor Bloomberg is forced to retire.
