The state on Sunday filed criminal indictments against 12 residents of Shfaram pertaining to the 2005 lynching death of IDF soldier Eden Natan-Zada, who without provocation opened fire on a bus in the Shfaram area, murdering four innocent passengers.
After running out of bullets, the passengers attacked him and beat him to death.
The indictments vary from attempted murder and assaulting police inciting riots leading to the soldier’s death.
The matter of filing indictments against bus passengers for the death of the soldier who murdered bus passengers in cold blood has been the subject of controversy for a number of years, in which numerous hearings were held. The state released a statement that despite the atrocity of the soldier’s act, the actions that led to his death are harmful to a society of law and order.
