An approximately 50-year-old Jewish motorist was gravely injured at about 12:45 PM today, Tuesday, 7 Cheshvan, after his car was attacked with rocks near Hebron.

According to the preliminary investigation at the scene of the deadly incident, the man’s vehicle was bombarded with rocks hurled by Arabs in the Hebron area. It appears the driver lost control and got into an accident or he may have stopped and got out to assess the damage to his vehicle. Whatever the reason, he stopped and got out of the car and was struck by a passing Arab truck, which fled the scene, but not before dragging the badly injured man tens of meters.

EMS personnel tried to save his life but the man was pronounced dead. The Arab driver was apprehended in the Dahariya area, south of the fatal hit and run. The Arab driver turned himself over to PA (Palestinian Authority) police, insisting it was an accident and not intentional.

The Hebron and S. Hebron areas have been the scene of Arab violence the entire morning including rock and firebomb attacks as well as the placement of burning tires in the main roadways including the Trans-Yehuda Highway north of Kiryat Arba as the videos clearly show.
