I remember that when I learned in Israel there was a bomb that went off on a shabbos afternoon on rechov beis yisroel in front of a sefardi baal teshuva yeshiva killing a number of balei teshuva r”l. I recall how in the days following the attack people would come from all over town to see the site. I recall how my rebbi at Mir at the time gave shmooz and said that he cannot understand how people can come there and look at the site where yidishe blood was spilled without fainting or at least breaking down in uncontrollable tears.
We are r”l losing our yidishe gefeelen.
YitzyB, Your Rebbe was so right, but he was talking about coming to stare at the suffering of yidden! All death and killing is tragic, but please realize this type of viewing can’t be compared! We pray in Avinu Malkeinu, Nkom Laynaynu nikmas dam avadecha hashafuch. I know your rebbbe at mir says it too. If this isn’t Laynaynu, I don’t know….next to being there, which I would not want to be, of course, we can get the satisfaction of seeing one less enemy.

2. This was a sonei yisroel. Ba’avod resho’im rinah.

Yes, I can’t either Understand why people like to see these things! All those Horific Videos put out by ISIS. That are watched by Millions of Normal people! I simply don’t get it!
