In the latest publicized arrests in Lebanon, a colonel in the Lebanese army and retired customs official have joined the growing list of suspects being held on charges of spying for Israel. Close to two dozen arrests have been made in recent weeks as Lebanon reports a major Israeli spy network is being unraveled.
Following previous arrests, Lebanese officials boasted confiscating sophisticated monitoring devices and other adjuncts linked to espionage efforts. Hizbullah officials are calling for the death penalty for all of the defendants.
