Yesh Atid opposition party leader MK Yair Lapid on Thursday morning 25 Tishrei visited Chaggai Street in Jerusalem’s Old City, the site of a number of Islamic terror attacks and disturbances in recent weeks. Accompanied by police, Lapid was given a briefing of the situation and what is being done to maintain law and order in the so-called Muslim Quarter.
Lapid told the press “Instead of managing policy, we have a government that constantly tells us what the problems are. The role of the Israeli leadership is to offer solutions”.
Lapid also used the media opportunity to express his backing for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s decision to bar ministers and Members of Knesset from Har Habayis to avoid additional provocation.

That is respectful.
Respectful? Perhaps. I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt that that was his motivation, but he had a similar publicity stunt before he ran the first time. We can’t trust this guy.
