A plane taxiing away from a terminal at Newark Airport clipped wings with another plane being towed to a hangar for service Tuesday evening. An outbound Lufthansa flight, a Boeing 747, clipped the right wing of a Continental Boeing 757 under tow for maintenance. The collision took place shortly before 7 pm. None of the Lufthansa flight’s 291 passengers and 17 crew members were injured in the collision, which took place on a taxiway.
The flight was bound for Frankfurt, Germany. The Lufthansa plane returned to the gate and the airline was making arrangements for the passengers to take another flight, Urbaniak said.
There were many Yidden on the flight, who were going to take connecting flights in Germany & continue to Eretz Yisreol .

What’s going on at Newark? Yesterday a plane landed on a taxiway instead of a runway. B”H there was no plane waiting on the taxiway at the time.
