Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yaakov Litzman took part in completing the writing of a Sefer Torah by the President of Ichud (United Hatzalah) Eli Beer and the organization’s CEO, Ze’ev Kashash. The Sefer was donated by Mr. Leonardo Farkash of Chile, with the latter being a major backer of Ichud Hatzalah. Mr. Farkash explained the donation of the Sefer Torah is to honor the organization’s life-saving work in Israel and around the world.

The Sefer Torah was donated to the Jerusalem Great Synagogue and a large festive event is planned during chol hamoed Sukkos. The Chief Rabbis of Israel area expected to participate in the event along with rabbonim and notables.

Mr. Farkash also donated a Sefer Torah to Israel Police in memory of the Druse officer murdered in the Har Nof terror attack.
