In a stunning move, House Speaker John Boehner informed Republicans on Friday that he would step down at the end of October, giving up his coveted leadership post and his seat in Congress in the face of hardline conservative opposition.
The 13-term Ohio Republican shocked his GOP caucus early Friday morning when he informed them of his decision in a closed-door session. It came one day after the high point of Boehner’s congressional career, a historic speech by Pope Francis to Congress at Boehner’s request.
Rep. John Mica, R-Fla., said Boehner “just does not want to become the issue. Some people have tried to make him the issue both in Congress and outside.”
Conservatives have demanded that any legislation to keep the government operating past Wednesday’s midnight deadline strip Planned Parenthood of his funds, a move rejected by the more pragmatic lawmakers. The dispute had threatened Boehner’s speakership and roiled the GOP caucus.
Boehner took over the speakership in January 2011.

“civil rights” always win in the end, so IMO this isn’t a battle the conservatives should fight. And there’s nothing sanctifying heaven in this fight either.

This “decision” didn’t shock anyone. He stated last year that he wanted to leave, but after Eric Cantor lost in his primary, it would of been to much for the Republican party at that time. Lets just hope he doesn’t pull a Arlen Specter or a Charlie Crist on the Republicans.

In a yehorag va’al ya’avor situation if someone succumbs and doesn’t give up their life they are fully accountable, if they were potentially able to escape.We were able to stop this movement and we still at the moment can stop parts of it if we are arise and mentally plan( legally and through voting against these low lives and put in decent people, who push decent legislation.)
If we don’t do this we are responsible for all their actions that come from or wrong actions or lack of actions.
