The Ministry of Education announced on Monday 8 Tishrei that it has accepted the appeals filed by nine girls from Elad whom are still at home, without schools.
The ministry has instructed both Zluznik and Ladaas Chachma Schools that they must accept the nine girls with four being assigned to the former and five to the latter. All the girls are Sephardim who were not assigned to any ninth grade to date.
Attorney Yoav Lalum, who has championed the fight to end the discrimination against Sephardi girls in chareidi schools praised the ministry’s decision.
