The High Court of Justice, headed by President Justice Dorit Beinish, on Sunday issued a temporary restraining order instructing the High Rabbinical Court to respond within 90 days. The Rabbinical Court must explain why the giyur (conversion) of thousands of people was retroactively canceled by the Supreme Rabbinical Court because they were signed by Rabbi Chaim Druckman.
 
The rabbinical court has canceled the giyur of all of Rav Druckman’s Shlita giyurim since 1999.
 
The petition was filed with the High Court of Justice by some of those giyurim whose “Jewishness” was retroactively canceled by the High Rabbinical Court.
