A full scale emergency training exercise was scheduled to begin at the World Trade Center site Sunday morning.
More than 800 first responders were to participate in the drill in a PATH tunnel underneath the site.
“There will be street closures. We’ll put them out. They’ll be minimal and it’s also on a Sunday morning. It starts at 8 o’clock in the morning so there should be minimal disruption,” said NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly.
All streets south of Warren Street and north of Vesey, between Broadway and West Street are closed to “vehicular and pedestrian traffic.”
The World Trade Center PATH Station will be closed until 11:30 a.m.
PATH trains traveling from Newark will terminate at Exchange Place.
“Manhattan-bound passengers should take PATH’s Journal Square to the 33rd Street line through Hoboken.
