Tens of thousands of mispallalim were on hand Thursday night for slichos before Shabbos Shuva at the Kosel. Slichos began at 00:45. Prior to the event, a call was made to the tzibur at large to come and participate and not to be dissuaded because of fears amid increasing acts of terrorism in the capital of late.

Kosel Heritage Foundation officials expressed delight over the turnout, decrying the increase in Arab terror attacks in and around the Old City.
