A day after he was reportedly arrested and taken back in custody, terrorist Muhmad Alaan has begun his hunger strike. He was taken into custody after healing following being hospitalized during his last administrative arrest. He was hunger-striking for over two months and was near death when hospitalized. Now that he was back to health, he was taken into custody again and he has once again vowed to continue the hunger strike to the death.
His father, Nasser, accuses Israel of trying to kill his son. He explained to the media that Israeli officials know he is weak but they re-arrested him nonetheless and once again he is in life-threatening danger.
Walla News reported on Thursday, 4 Tishrei, that the placement of an Iron Dome in Ashdod earlier in the day was in response to an Islamic Jihad threat to respond to the arrest of Alaan with renewed rocket fire into southern Israel.
