A 19-year-old Israeli man heading home from Rosh Hashanah in Uman got stuck in Turkey.
The young man arrived in the Istanbul Airport after being refused boarding on a flight to Israel on Thursday, 4 Tishrei. He explained he was to have boarded a flight at midnight which he missed. His parents ordered another ticket for him but at the airport they would not stamp his passport. No explanation is given.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry situation is involved, maintaining a connection with the family in Israel, promising to do its best to bring the young man home as soon as possible.

Please keep us updated. When posting such news it is your responsibility, YWN, to ensure that readers are not sent into a frenzy for no reason. We have flown through Istanbul a number of times and have never had any problems.
I flew through Turkey 5 times in 2015 alone. Only a great experience. If you have thousands traveling back from Uman and 1 person has an issue, its not connected to Turkey, could happen any where.
