Hizbullah Deputy Commander Sheikh Naim Kassam confirmed that his organization does train Hamas fighters and assists in acquiring and transporting weapons into Gaza.
 
Despite the friction between the Sunni and Shiite factions, Hizbullah (Sunni) does work with Hamas (Shiite) against the common foe, Israel. He explained the “Palestinians and Hizbullah have a common goal, to expel the Zionist enemy from occupied lands” in response to pressure to abandon Hizbullah’s military wing and transform to a legitimate diplomatic entity.
