250,000 Expected to Take Part in Chabad Lag B’Omer Parades

In keeping with the 30-year tradition started by the Lubavitcher Rebbe ZT”L, Chabad shluchim across Eretz Yisrael will be holding Lag B’Omer parades for children, expecting some 250,000 participants nationwide in 800 events.

Tzeirei Chabad director Rav Yosef Yitzchak Aaronoff explained “that particularly on Lag B’Omer, when the talmidim of Rabbi Akiva stopped dying, it is a day on which we must exhibit achdus, unity”.

The main event is held in Yerushalayim, which is expected to attract some 10,000 children, converging on Kikar Shabbos. Other major events will be held in Tzfas, Bnei Brak, Ashdod, Haifa and Kfar Saba.
