A poll conducted by Panels Politics for Channel 2 seeks to determine who is the most popular among Knesset party leaders.
According to the poll, in first place is Yahadut Hatorah faction leader Health Minister Yaakov Litzman because of his efforts for free dental care for children and other reforms to improve Israel’s healthcare system. Litzman received a 5.6 rating.
In second place is Bayit Yehudi part leader Naftali Bennett with a 5.4. It is pointed out that while his party lost seats in the elections, he was masterful in handling coalition negotiations, earning the second slot.
In third place, to the surprise of many, is Yisrael Beitenu opposition party leader Avigdor Lieberman who his determination to stick to his principles and his willingness to pass up serving as foreign minister to realize those principles. He received a 4.1 rating.
In fourth place is Meretz opposition party leader Zahava Gal-On with a 4.0 rating. She was praised for announcing that if Meretz does not receive five seats in Knesset she would resign, which she did. When the final tabulation was in the party earned an additional seat and she was back in.
Last on the list is Shas party leader Economy Minister Aryeh Deri with a rating of 3.7. The tzibur is unwilling to forget the criminal acts committed by him that led to his conviction and prison sentence.
