A gag order was lifted on Monday, 9 Elul pertaining to the arrests of members of another Shomron terror cell. The arrests were made in a joint operation involving the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet), Israel Police and the IDF, apprehending residents from the PA (Palestinian Authority) village of Bita in the Shechem district. The members of the cell were involved in firebomb and rock-throwing attacks against Israeli civilians and security personnel.

The main suspects are Farris Abed Farchat, 19, who admitted to taking part in firebomb attacks and Amid Amad Maali, 21, who is affiliated with the Popular Democratic Front terror organization. Other suspects who are members of the terror cell are in custody as well.
