A number of Hamas commanders affiliated with the Izzadin el-Kassam military wing of the terrorist organization were abducted following the opening of the Rafiach Crossing between Gaza and Egypt. It was first theorized the abductees were taken by ISIS.
Channel 10 News reported on Sunday evening 8 Elul that this is not the case, at least not according to Hamas leaders in Gaza. They accuse Israel of providing intelligence information to the Egyptians that led to the abduction of the terrorist commanders when they entered Sinai, by Egyptian security officials, not ISIS. Hamas is working to obtain their release, reporting they are in Egyptian custody, blaming Israel for their apprehension.
It appears they were taken into custody for questioning for their alleged cooperation with ISIS against Egypt.
