A Florida man has pleaded guilty to calling in a bomb threat to the Long Beach Airport after he arrived too late to board his flight. “He” was arrested August 26th shortly after he called 9-1-1 from a pay phone and said there was a bomb on a JetBlue flight from Long Beach to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In his plea agreement, he acknowledged he made the call to try to keep the plane from leaving. Court documents say he did not have a bomb and was upset that an airline employee wouldn’t allow him to board because of federal rules that require airlines to close a flight 30 minutes before takeoff. “He” remains free on bond & faces probation to five years in prison when he’s sentenced in January.

If I were the judge, I would look to see if he shows convincing signs of remorse. Otherwise, I’d say throw the book at him.
