While AAA says gas prices in the city have increased, they still remain lower than a year ago.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $2.21.

That’s up eight cents from a month ago, but down nearly a $1.28 from a year ago.

The same trend can be found in gas prices across the nation. The latest Lundberg Survey says the price of gas has gone up about 10 cents a gallon nationwide over the past three weeks.

The average price for a gallon of regular stands at $2.05, up from $1.95 on March 20th.

But, the price is still down $1.27 from the same time last year.
