The 90-minute meeting took place on Sunday morning 3 Menachem Av.
Gafne and the others explained to Rav Shteinman Agudas Yisrael Deputy Ministers Meir Porush and Yaakov Litzman has signaled they are opposed to the law and they do not plan to resign from Knesset to permit Yaakov Asher to enter.

The Degel can’t win any seats in the Kenesset without the Agudah. The Agudah garners more votes than Degel and brings them over the minimum threshold.
Given the changes over the past several years, its a bit of a stretch to call the Agudahniks “Chassidish”. Under this characterization, my uncle who is the biggest misnaged of the generation would also be Chassidish.
#1- All right, but the Agudah probably can’t make the threshold without Degel either. Remember that in the recent elections UTJ was teetering between 6-7 seats in the Knesset. At least for the time being, nether can do without the other.
Please explain in this article as well what law you are referring to
Chuk – #1 – this is especially so with the last elections, where Reb Shmuel Auerbach’s (who would have voted as degelniks), did not go out to vote…
So the agudaniks are showing them the door…
