Republican former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has raised $2 million for his 2016 presidential run, his campaign says, while outside groups helping him collected $6 million.
Huckabee, who won the early primary state of Iowa in the 2008 presidential contest and later dropped out after fundraising challenges, began his new bid on May 5 in what has become a crowded GOP field.
His initial 2016 haul is three times what he raised the last time he ran, said Bob Wickers, a senior adviser to Huckabee.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is dominating the money contest, having raised a record $114.4 million between his campaign and allied super PAC.
Many candidates are due to report their first fundraising details — including donor names — to federal regulators by midnight Wednesday.

Mike is clearly the best candidate out there for a Ben Torah to vote for.
