While Yahadut HaTorah is heading for the coalition, it is seeking a different portfolio, joining the list of parties not wishing to undertake the responsibility for the nation’s healthcare system.
It appears that Yaakov Litzman and Moshe Gafne has yet to resolve their dispute over who will chair the Finance Committee, and if it goes to a vote, without intervention of the Gedolim, Gafne is expected to receive the slot. This would place Litzman in the deputy health minister slot, maintaining ministerial authority. Meir Porush is likely to serve as a deputy education minister as well as serving as the ombudsman for the office, rotating the position with MK Maklev.
