Graham: Trump Is A ‘Wrecking Ball’ For Future Of GOP

trumpRepublican presidential candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham says rival Donald Trump is a “wrecking ball” for the future of the GOP with Hispanic voters. Graham is calling on the party to push back.

Graham was critical of Trump’s recent derogatory comments about Mexican immigrants and calls the issue a “defining moment” for Republicans. He says on CNN’s “State of the Union” that if the GOP doesn’t reject Trump’s views, “we will have lost our way.”

In a weekend appearance in Phoenix that drew thousands, Trump repeated his assertions that Mexico was sending violent offenders to the U.S. to harm Americans.

Trump’s words are worrisome to Republicans, who fear the outspoken businessman is hurting the party’s standing with the nation’s surging Latino population before voting begins in the 2016 presidential primaries.

  1. Let’s see,

The new face of the GOP is an old, rich, white and (arguably racist) male.

Same as the old face of the GOP.

What ever happened with Condi Rice?

  2. As a liberal and Democrat and American, I can tell you that the problem with Donald Trump is not just that he is bad for the future of the Republican party. He is bad for the present and future of America. He is also a bad role model for young men wondering how to comb their hair.

  3. I think what Trump is saying regarding illegal immigration and taking our country back is resounding to a lot of Americans, myself included. As for a role model, he’s a much, much better role model than our present ” communist in chief”. I’m as sure he can show a legitimate birth certificate, and passport, without spending thousands of dollars on legal fees not to show it For sure he and any other Republican running would be a friend to Israel and not a Muslim sympathizer like Hussein Obama or is it Barry Soetoro? To make an issue of his hair just shows a lack of substance in trying to discredit him.

  4. 1. She doesn’t want to deal with the attacks from the racist liberals who can’t fathom how a black person can be free thinking and a Republican.

  5. Nfgzero aka charlatan hall.

No one, and i mean NO ONE, gives a hoot what you think about the republicans especially since your chaleriyas have destroyed the country over the last six years.

  6. Re comment no. 7: I did not make a comment about Republicans. I made a comment about Donald Trump and the thing on his head. And one person obviously gives a hoot, or he/she – you – would not have commented.

Re comment no. 8: Much as I understand your thinking about Mr. Trump’s value to the Democratic Party, I nevertheless am unhappy about his current status near the head of the pack of Republican presidential candidates. Yes, he would be an easier opponent than some other Republicans, but there can be no assurance that the Democratic nominee will beat him (or any other Republican nominee), and I think he is so destructive that it would be better for the country if the Republican candidate were the most qualified candidate, not the most bombastic candidate.

And, really, why would the Republicans want to nominate a candidate who has as many wives as Newt Gingrich?
