Noam Shalit: History Will Judge Olmert

ol.jpgAs Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and his government prepare to step down, Noam Shalit, the father of Gilad Shalit expressed his concerns regarding his son’s release following the change of governments.

“I do not wish to deliver a message to the new government via the media. Undoubtedly, the officials will hear what I have to say” he commented in a Yisrael HaYom interview. He added that history will judge the actions of Mr. Olmert.

Mrs. Aviva Shalit, Gilad’s mother, will attend the Tuesday night swearing-in ceremony of the new government accompanied by a support team including Karnit Goldwasser (Ehud’s HY”D widow), Esther Wachsman (Sgt. Nachshon’s HY”D mother), and Yuval Arad, the daughter of missing air force navigator Ron Arad.

  1. Israel fought 2 wars for these hapless 3 soldiers.
Israel suffered multiples casualties in order to rescue them.
Two are gone, one is maybe still alive. Only maybe.
The Shalits truly are good parents.
However they are still Hamas’ “useful idiots”.
    And they know it.
And they have no “Hakoras Hatov” for what was done till now.

  2. To # 1 – What WAS done until now??? Olmert the buffoon quit in the middle of 2 wars, both of which could have been won. Hundreds of Yidden died, more were wounded, and millions and millions of shekel were spent – for what? Olmert and Barak, in keeping with their tradition, grasp defeat from the hands of victory, and quit in the middle out of fear of offending the US, the EU, and the UN. Never mind that NONE of the goals of these wars were accomplished! In the north, Hezbola is totally re-armed and the 2 soldiers captured up there were killed. In the south, Hamas is still shooting rockets and is in the process of re-arming, AND Gilad is still in the hands of those savages. Gilad could be home if Olmert had a brain!!! Thank him? FOR WHAT???
