IDF military police has completed its investigation into allegations made by soldiers affiliated with the Yitzchak Rabin pre-IDF course affiliated with Oranim Academic College, concluding the allegations of immoral behavior by soldiers are categorically false.
IDF Judge Advocate General Brigadier-General Avichai Mandelblitt has ordered the case closed as a result of the official report.
The soldiers had claimed witnessing immoral behavior by IDF combatants against civilians in Gaza as was reported HERE by YWN. The damaging accusation had international repercussions, feeding Israel’s enemies with new ammunition as they seek to accuse the Jewish army of ‘war crimes” in Gaza. Libertarians in Israel jumped on the bandwagon, demanding investigations, but IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gabi Ashkenazi and other senior commanders remained firm in the knowledge that the IDF remains the most moral army in the world, giving total backing to the units which fought in Gaza.
According to the findings of military police, members of the Rabin Academy intentionally exaggerated their statements and reports to emphasize their case, resulting in a fabrication of the actual events.
