Israel Police spokesman for the Shvelah district reports that another shipment of illegal eggs was intercepted before it could reach the Israeli marketplace. Two vehicles were stopped in the operation, with police reporting they were carrying 40,000 eggs smuggled from PA (Palestinian Authority) areas to the Israeli market.

The eggs were heading to Rehovot and Tel Aviv. Two smugglers, Arab residents of the eastern capital, have been taken into custody. The eggs were handed over to Ministry of Agriculture inspectors and they will be destroyed.

In the same police district, the spokesman reports a vehicle was stopped carrying 28 PA illegals heading inside Green Line Israel. The driver was arrested and arraigned and the PA residents were handed over to security officials for processing.
