Two children are hospitalized as a result of two separate dog attacks over the weekend.
In one incident, a 2-year-old from Netanya is in serious condition after being attacked by the family pet, a German shepherd. The victim’s parents were asleep, awakened by their son’s cries for assistance. The child remains in Wolfson Hospital. The dog has been impounded by city officials.
In the second attack, a 9-year-old Kfar Saba resident is in moderate condition in Petach Tikvah’s Schneider Children’s Hospital. He was attacked by two amstaffs owned by a neighbor. The boy entered the neighbor’s yard to retrieve his ball. In this case as well, the dogs have ben impounded by authorities.
