Tel Aviv’s 104 Bus Line to Sheba Medical Center May Operate on Shabbos

danThe Dan Company number 104 bus that goes to and from the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer Hospital will be operating on Shabbos, Ynet reports.

According to the report, the Ministry of Transportation decided to stop the line on Shabbos, leading to a loud outcry. The ministry retracted its decision in response to the public pressure.

The bus began operating on Shabbos following ministry reforms in 2011. It was one of the bus lines authorized to operate before Shabbos ended because it services the hospital. As a result of the reversal of the ministry’s decision, the bus will begin operating two hours before Shabbos ends.
