A parachutist was blown by heavy winds into a Golan Heights minefield on Thursday near Kibbutz Mavoh Chama. Paramedics who arrived on the scene once realizing the minefield backed off, summoning an IDF chopper to extricate the injured man, who was not in any life-threatening danger.

Perhaps due to last week’s botched chopper rescue the decision was made to call combat engineers into the picture who walked into the field and brought out the victim, who was transported to Tiveria’s Poriah Hospital.
