Tuesday Evening News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


The government has approved the establishment of a 250 megawatt solar energy station in Ramat HaNegev. The IDF originally objected to the move.
 
**During talks with Binyamin Netanyahu, Eli Yishai called for Israel Land Administration reforms to permit construction of thousands of housing units for the chareidi sector. Yishai wants the Housing Ministry portfolio for Shas to push such reforms through.
 
**Yisrael Beitenu leader Avigdor Lieberman told faction members he is confident a coalition will be formed by Friday and the new government will be sworn in on Monday.
 
**One person was lightly wounded when a security agent in the Jerusalem Central Bus Station accidentally discharged his weapon as he was un-chambering a bullet. He was transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital.
