deriDuring the first meeting of the Apartment Cabinet, Economy Minister Aryeh Deri questioned why there is no construction for the chareidi sector. On Monday, 21 Sivan, Finance Minister (Kulanu) Moshe Kahlon held a meeting to address the housing shortage, the first such meeting following the formation of the new government. Kahlon explained that this administration can and must find a solution to the critical housing shortage.

Deri stated that among all the apartment starts that have been approved, none are for the chareidi community. He questioned how 100,000 apartments can be approved without a single one being for chareidim.
