French PM Stands Firm in Opposition to Boycotting Israel

hollIn a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, French President Francois Hollande expressed his opposition to boycotts. The French leader expressed his opposition to snowballing efforts to hit Israel with economic boycotts.

The prime minister has already told officials in the Foreign Ministry to refuse a meeting with Orange CEO Stephane Richard, who told and Egyptian audience he would love to cut ties with Israel. The prime minister instructed Foreign Ministry officials that Richard can come to Israel if he wishes to explain away his remarks in Cairo.

Richard told the Cairo audience that he wishes he could end the relationship with Israel, but he is aware doing so would result in penalties and legal complications.

Interior Minister Silvan Shalom said Friday he had spoken with Richard, who apologized and added that any considerations about moving the business were not in any way business related.

  1. “Interior Minister Silvan Shalom said Friday he had spoken with Richard, who apologized and added that any considerations about moving the business were not in any way business related.”

Of course they aren’t business related – he hates Jews, like most of his countrymen. Noch besser he said that. Idiot.

  2. French minister Hollande should make alliyah. He should help move all the European Jews to Israel and be the second chairman to the Jewish Agency for Israel.

  3. Hollande is the President of the French Republic, not the Prime Minister as indicated by the headline. He is not Jewish so he can’t make aliyah, and his record of support for Jews in his country is as good or better than any other European leader.

  4. Hollande is fhe president of France and not the Prime minister, as the headline reads. The prime minister is Valls whose wife is Jewish. Perhaps it is pm valls that needs to take on the job with sharansky?
