B’chasdei Hashem a stabbing attack was prevented on Har Habayis on Sunday, 20 Sivan. A 25-year-old resident of a PA (Palestinian Authority) area of Hebron was taken into custody. The suspect admitted to police that he planned to stab Jews on Har Habayis.

The suspect was apprehended heading onto Har Habayis. Policemen felt there was something suspicious about him and stopped him for questioning. He was questioned and apprehended before he could attack anyone.

Israel Har Habayis Commander Superintendent Shlomi Tuvol spoke with the suspect, who then admitted he planned the attacks after the last Muslim prayer service later in the day.

The suspect walked with police to Shar Shechem and showed them where he hid a bag containing knives and screwdrivers which he planned to use in the attacks.
