Lakewood Ambulance Seen Doing Donuts On Video

ambn.jpgAuthorities in Lakewood are reviewing a video posted on a Web site that shows an ambulance and an EMS squad car being used for joyrides through a snow-covered parking lot.

The clip has since been removed from a car-enthusiast Web site, which was posted on March 3, a day after up to a foot of snow fell in the area.

The Asbury Park Press reports the video showed the ambulance spinning in tight circles and the squad car spinning and turning sharply in the parking lot of BlueClaws stadium – while music blared. At one point, a passenger from the front seat of the ambulance trades places with the driver of the sedan and begins another series of spins and slides. The video closes with a shot of the ambulance spinning in a tight circle before drifting out of view.

Township Manager Frank Edwards says he’ll determine whether any disciplinary action would be taken against EMS squad members.

  1. …your tax money at work! “Well, we need to determine the limitations of the vehicles we use, out in the field.”

  2. Is this news? Is it constructive? Is is not possible that those in the Ambulance were just young guys having fun, who should be reprimanded, while keeping in mind they may be heroes who save lives?

  3. Notice that YWN did NOT post what was all over the news (stemming from the APP and posted on other frum web-sites) regarding yesterday’s announced major Lakewood drug bust.

Typically, every Lakewood mugging is posted with flashing lights on YWN. So why not this significant crime bust?

The answer is simple. YWN only posts Lakewood crimes that fit their agenda. That is, crimes performed by non-Jews renting from Jews in Lakewood. That causes an outcry and its story gets numerous hits.

This “unsavory” individual lives in Freehold, a twenty minute drive from Lakewood. It is simply not newsworthy.

Or perhaps, now that it is evident that “unsavory” individuals have found the remote Lakewood island, should be sufficient cause for the Lakewood ban on renting to “unsavory” (aka goyim) people be extended to a 20 minute perimeter around Lakewood?

Editors Response: We are glad you have all the answers…not. We were not aware of any such incident as the LPD has not issued any press release of this incident as of this time.

  4. I have noticed the YWN usually does not report on things that put people in a bad light like some of the other Jewish web sites. You leave out many articles that seems interesting and fun read. I commend YWN for this. What I don’t understand is why they would report this about good people who risk their lives (and yes they do) going in to people’s houses in Lakewood that WE help put there on a day-to-day basis. I know some the EMTs on Lakewood EMS and they are great people some of the best emts out there. When they get dispatched to calls from people from our community they treat them with respect and with the same professionalism they would any body else. Maybe they did something stupid here, but at the end of the day by reporting it to the Lakewood public it may cost good people who are from the best EMTs out there their job.
