There have been contradictory reports from Lebanese media agencies on Tuesday, 15 Sivan, with the latter stating the Israel Air Force attacked along the Syrian-Lebanese border. There is no official Israeli statement regarding the reported IAF strike. Hizbullah officials’ told the media there was no Israeli strike.
Later in the afternoon some Lebanese sources explained that while Israeli aircraft violated Lebanese airspace, there was no attack, contradicting the earlier Lebanese media reports.
There have been a number of reported IAF strikes in recent months, all met with silence in Jerusalem amid media reports that weapons and ammunition convoys and storage facilities were eliminated. This would be in line with statements released by Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon that Israel will not permit advanced weaponry to make its way to Hizbullah in S. Lebanon.
