A false alarm was heard throughout southern Israel on erev Shabbos at about 4:15pm, in Gaza-belt areas all the way to Beersheva, causing a fair amount of panic and anxiety as Shabbos approached.

The Color Red warning was sounding, leading residents in a number of municipalities and cities to believe rockets had been fired. Baruch Hashem this was not the case and a few minutes later, announcements were made on radio stations informing terrorists the sirens were a false alarm.
