A 25-year-old man taken into custody by Gush Dan police has admitted during questioning that he attacked girls in the ‘Shikun Hey’ area of northern Bnei Brak. Police became involved after a 9-year-old girl reported to her father that while walking in the street an unknown male inappropriately touched her. The suspect’s remand has been extended by a court.
The suspect told police of five instances in which he assaulted girls in Bnei Brak. Police checked surveillance cameras from the area where the girl reported she was assaulted, providing video documentation of the man’s actions. Police began patrolling the area leading to the apprehension of the suspect who is not in custody.

Can you fix your story?
At the beginning you write that he’s in custody and the last sentence says that he’s not in custody!!
Assume that “not” was meant to read “now;” it is a logical story with an ok ending. But really, If a person is well-advised to proofread a text message before sending it out because of dumb or embarrassing word substitutions your Swype or auto-spell can insert, how much more should the editor of an actual news piece do at least a perfunctory proofreading! The other day there was the story of the terrorist who was “retrained” instead of “restrained.” Sometimes the results make you the butt of jokes, sometimes you are downright misunderstood. Come on! For your own sakes…
