Brooklyn Congressman Edolphus “Ed” Towns (NY-10) welcomed Ambassador Asaf Shariv to his Downtown Brooklyn Office on Friday.
During the meeting, the two discussed the recent Israeli elections, the current situation in Gaza, and efforts to retrieve captured Corporal Gilad Shalit.
Ambassador Shariv expressed his appreciation for the strong support Congressman Towns had given Israel during Operation Cast Lead and encouraged him to revisit Israel in the near future.
