Hundreds of residents from the 17th Senate District and beyond lined up outside the Midwood branch of the New York Public Library to attend Senator Felder’s Annual Agency Fair. Dozens of New York City agencies, including HRA, Brooklyn Housing, FDNY, NYPD, Department of Aging, Department of Finance, Yeled V’Yalda, COJO of Flatbush, Selfhelp, and more set up tables to provide fair-goers with information and advice. Free blood pressure screenings were provided by Maimonides Medical Center.
“I am thankful to everyone who came,” said Senator Felder, who was at the fair to greet attendees. “I am so happy to be able to bring together all these agencies to help the people of Brooklyn with any issues that they may have.”
“I was so happy to be able to take care of so many issues all at once,” said one fairgoer. “This fair is saving me so much time because now I don’t need to run all over the place to each agency. I can just do everything at once. The Senator’s staff is also being so helpful and friendly, and I was even able to make an appointment to meet with them next week.”
Senator Felder’s office regularly provides invaluable services to constituents residing within the 17th District and beyond, including paper shredding, metro card disbursements, mammograms, cholesterol and glucose screening and more.
