Jordan and Russia on Friday signed an agreement for nuclear cooperation for peaceful purposes and research, the London-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper reports.
Officials affiliated with Jordan’s nuclear program confirm the report, explaining an agreement was initialed, adding a formal signing ceremony will take place in Moscow. Officials explain the goal is the construction of a nuclear reactor to provide energy for peaceful objectives.
The agreement includes the training of Jordanian engineers in the required nuclear technology.
