Following comments in Knesset on Tuesday 23 Iyar by MK (Yesh Atid), Shai Piron, MK (Yahadut Hatorah) Moshe Gafne called the former minister “rude and evil”.
Piron explained he met with an Egoz unit soldier who returned from Nepal where they recovered the body of missing Israeli Ohr Asraf, and he claims the soldier told him Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon is going to betray him and all soldiers by regulating the status of chareidim vis-à-vis the new draft law.
“I do not know how much evil can be in one human being” said Gafne from the Knesset podium, adding “Those who found Asraf together with IDF soldiers were chareidim from Zaka and Hatzalah, which also took part in that operation”.
“If he wants to be in the opposition then let him be but not on our backs,” Gafne stated as he defended Ya’alon. Gafne continue angrily questioning how Piron can accuse Ya’alon of “betrayal”, a man who served as IDF Chief of Staff. Gafne went on to speak about events in Nepal and the work of chareidim in Zaka, Ichud Hatzalah and the Chabad House, rejecting the validity of Piron’s remarks. “Who really runs the world? A bit of modesty please for Shai Piron who is rude and evil and hates the chareidi tzibur” he concluded.

He didn’t point out the irony in Piron’s statement.
When he cuts away from Chareidim for his schools – it’s not “self serving”, and “lust for money”, but when Gafne get’s back some of the cuts – it’s stealing…
Not even getting into his accusation that Rav Steinman would prefer his plan and that Gafne is a self servant who doesn’t listen to Daas Torah – how ridiculous…
Piron is just a fat backstabbing selfish loser. Why justify anything he says by responding? He can now join his buddy, Lipman, with his street sweeping career.
