Some ten days after being compelled by health officials to halt operations, the Mei Eden bottled water company is getting ready to resume operations towards the end of this week.
Earlier in the week, YWN reported (HERE) that another water company, Neviot, was given the green light from health officials to resume operations.
In Neviot’s case, health officials explained the lack of rainfall resulted in the growth of bacteria in the area of the company’s water source. Rains eventually washed the infectious bacteria into the water supply, resulting in the order to halt bottling.
Health officials assure consumers that when the companies resume operations, there is no doubt the water supplies are suitable. They also stress there is no risk that any contaminated water found its way into bottles on store shelves.
