Netanyahu Appoints 100 Day Committee

bibin7.jpgIncoming Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday met with Finance Minister Roni Bar-On to receive a situation briefing on the nation’s fiscal picture as he prepares to enter the leadership position.

Netanyahu is no stranger to the Finance Ministry, having served in the post under Ariel Sharon, and is viewed by many as the right person to take corrective action to extricate the country out of the fiscal crisis that has hit the global community.

Netanyahu is engaged in coalition talks but is not wasting time. He appointed his 100 Day Committee to begin addressing the first days in office, formulating emergency plans to address the difficult economic realities that will face his administration.

Heading the committee is Dr. Yuval Shteinitz, who will be working with Gilad Erdan, Prof. Uzi Arad and others. Shteinitz explains they are formulating plans to address the most urgent issues during the first 100 days of the administration.

One Response

  1. Netanyahu’s economic philosophy is very similar to the “compassionate conservatism” of the United States, minus the “compassion.” Based on past experiences, it will be very bad for the poor, which happens to include most of the Bnei Torah.
