Israel Health Ministry officials have issued an alert for passengers onboard an El Al flight on Tuesday, LY347 from Tel Aviv to Zurich and Geneva. Health officials are calling on passengers to report to a Health Ministry office after learning one of the passengers on the flight was infected with rubella.
Offices will remain open on Friday until 12:00PM and passengers are requested to report to see if they were immunized against the disease.
The ministry is working to reach anyone who may have been in contact with the infected passenger.

Here we go again!
Rubella is one of the communicable diseases that our children receive immunizations for. But because there has recently been a growing number of people (particualrly in the frum community) who opt out, we are hearing more and more of cases where these diseases have sprung up again. Pretty soon, these people whon’t even have the herd immunity to rely on. Shomer Pesayim!
