On Sunday evening at approximately 7:45PM, the Ramapo Police responded to 13 Monsey Blvd for reports of a crane that had fallen over. Arriving officers on scene found that the crane had been operating on a slight grade at a construction site on property when it fell on its side.

Monsey FD was on scene to assist in getting the operator of the crane out of the driver compartment cab as the crane arm became stuck in the upright position.

The operator of the crane, a 42 year old male from Monsey, NY, suffered non-life threatening injuries to his wrist, face and rib areas and was transported to Nyack Hospital by Hatzoloh Ambulance for further evaluation.

Monsey Blvd. was closed in both directions while the crane was maneuvered back to an upright position by Buckwild Towing.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Ramapo Police.
